🌐 Surfe Setup & Workflow

The goal is to streamline outreach by enriching LinkedIn/Sales Navigator contacts with validated data, syncing communications, and pushing clean records into HubSpot for efficient prospecting.

1️⃣ Install & Set Up Surfe

  • Install Surfe from the Chrome Web Store (blue icon, 4th result when searching “Surfe”)
  • Keep HubSpot open during setup for automatic connection
  • Pin the extension to your browser toolbar for quick access
  • Check the side panel for available credits (email finder, mobile finder)

2️⃣ Enrich Contacts Before Adding to HubSpot

  • Use the two-step enrichment process:
    • Option A: Verify email/phone first
    • Option B: Push directly to HubSpot (auto-enrichment)
  • ✅ Only validated emails are added to HubSpot → ensures clean data
  • ℹ️ Notes:
    • 1 email credit is used per attempt (success or not)
    • Mobile credits are only consumed if a number is found

3️⃣ Export Prospects from Sales Navigator

  • Select up to 25 prospects in Sales Navigator → bulk export to HubSpot
  • Surfe auto-enriches and tracks export progress
  • List names from Sales Navigator can be mapped to HubSpot properties → filtering & automated list creation

4️⃣ Sync LinkedIn Messages to HubSpot

  • Use one-click sync to log LinkedIn/Sales Navigator conversations into HubSpot records
  • First sync pulls the last 25 messages
  • New messages sync only while viewing the contact (not in the background)
  • Conversations are organized by day blocks in HubSpot’s timeline

5️⃣ Use Templates for Messaging

  • Create personalized templates with variables (first name, company, position)
  • Organize templates by territory, campaign, or prospect type
  • Deploy into LinkedIn messages with one click

6️⃣ Advanced Search & Lookalike Features

  • Use Find Similar Profiles to expand prospects (limited credits per week)
  • Run company lookalike searches to identify similar organizations and roles
  • Save results to Surfe lists → enrich & export to HubSpot

7️⃣ Enroll Prospects into HubSpot Sequences

  • After enrichment, push prospects directly into HubSpot sequences from LinkedIn
  • Requires initial super admin permissions for setup
  • Enrollment is individual only (no bulk enrollment yet)

8️⃣ Stay Updated on Interface Changes

  • Surfe is migrating from LinkedIn overlay → dedicated side panel
  • Blue highlights for existing HubSpot contacts remain visible in the panel
