Europe Startups
1. Entrepreneurs are less celebrated in Europe than in the US: “About 17 percent of press coverage in Germany portrays entrepreneurship in a positive light, as compared with 39 percent in the United States. 2. In Europe, there is a lower concentration of entrepreneurs: “Innovation ‘superhubs’ are not as densely packed with resources as those in the United States. Only about 30 percent of European startups have located their headquarters in a tech superhub (Berlin, London, Paris, Stockholm)—versus almost half of US startups.” The result is lower interaction and, consequently, less serendipity.
